Lori,
Just be grateful that you still have her to irritate you. My Mother died when i was thirteen
years old. I would have given anything to have been able to have her attend my graduation. There
is never anyone who can take the place of your mother. You
may disagree with her now, but as you get older you may discover she isn't as dumb as you
think she is right now. I still miss mine all these years since i lost her.
Think about it and count your blessings. You are SO lucky to have both your parents.
Enjoy your graduation and good luck job hunting.

Lori, Parent issues never go away. We will always be the kid, they will always want to make us into the image they have in their heads, BUT you have accomplished something very important. Celebrate what you have done. For yourself, and for those you have and will help. I've watched your journey and I'm proud of you. Enjoy! No matter what Mom does or doesn't do, you can and should be proud of your accomplishment.

*raises Margarita glass* Here's to you, Lori!
