I haven't seen the movie, nor do I have plans to do so. I haven't bothered to avoid being spoiled. I find myself not caring a whole lot about the new Trek - maybe this has to do with being about to lose my job, maybe it has to do with how far removed I've become from mass media in general and from fandom.... However, I opened up drafts of fic and find myself engaging with it again. hmmmm.

and then you take a whole lotta crazy. in short - my manager is looking for a new job. The place is slowly sinking like a big boat going in slowmo. There are no jobs in town. Submitting my hours and signing up for the first licensing exam this week. Burnout reaching critical mass. Bills not budging. Options slim. Must network.
